A Night with Ashwell Stage School

Ashwell Stage School presents an evening of songs from popular musicals including "Phantom of the Opera", "Rent", "Song and Dance", "Oliver", "Les Misérables" and many more.

Sunday, 17th May 7.30pm

Triptych

St Mary's Church

The Triptych Singers were founded in 1973 and their repertoire includes sacred and secular music from the 14th to the 20th centuries. They have performed in churches all over the country and have also given recitals in Brecon Cathedral and the Anglican church in Amsterdam.

Sung Compline

St Mary's Church

Tonight's concert will be followed by he gentlemen of St Mary's Choir singing the ancient plainsong service of Compline.

Monday, 18th May 7.30pm

An Evening of Folk and More

Bushel & Strike

From far and near, entertaining music and song with a traditional acoustic feel.

Tuesday, 19th May 7.30pm

Young Musicians' Concert

St Mary's Church

An evening that celebrates the talents of local young people from Ashwell Primary School, Knights Templar School and the Ashwell Church Junior Choir.

Wednesday, 20th May 7.00pm

Architectural Ashwell

Meet at St Mary's Church

Discover the secrets of Ashwell's past through buildings. A guided walk around the village with local historian David Short to discover the treasures of Ashwell. There are limited numbers for this very popular event, so entry is only by ticket bought in advance.

A wonderful evening is in store for lovers of traditional jazz as the legendary international jazz clarinettist Terry Lightfoot and his Jazzmen, by popular demand, return to the Music Festival.An absolute treat for lovers of jazz and swing alike, who like their music high-energy, interspersed with sensitive treatments of some unforgettable 20th century jazz melodies.
